Bailey's New Outfits

Even through the yucky weather when girls want to shop they shop. My mom, and sister and I headed down to B-town 45min/1hr away to go shopping. We also picked up my sis Mel at her house in B-town. We spent a few hours at the mall then headed home. The weather wasn't nice though it was snowing like crazy. Not to mention the remainder of whatever was left on the road from last nights freezing rain storm. Going there wasn't bad, but coming back was bad. However we stopped in O-town 15 minutes from B-town on the way back to my house at the Wal-mart. No shopping trip is ever final till you stop at Wal-mart. I mainly wanted to stop and look for seat covers for my boyfriends car. He wants yellow ones and of course no body has yellow ones. The only ones I can find are on E-bay for $70US.

So while at Wal-mart I saw these cute outfits for Bailey..My cell phone camera must have been set at a different setting as the pictures didn't turn out too well but here they are...I love them to bits...And they were cheap.

This is the housecoat...Its baby blue just like his winter jacket, and his collar, and his leash....love the baby blue. It says READY TO SNUGGLE on the back.

This is his new shirt which came with a hat and holes for the ears in the hat. He already has a summer outfit! Now we just need the summer!

Off to watch my bro play hockey......

The Snow Can Go Away

I don't know about you but where I live we have had some nasty snow storms lately. Its worse south of us in which my sister who lives 1 hr south of me didn't get to go to college for 4 days in a row because of the storm. North of us is better than south which is really weird as usually when going further north its awful.

It was not nice outside this morning again. It took forever to get to work as the roads were slippery and full of snow. Its clearing up though I think. Below is a picture taken just a few minutes ago outside my office. The sky looks dark, but at least you can see the end of the runway again, unlike this morning. To the left of the picture beside the huge building is a runway for the planes. You know when its bad weather when you can't see the end of the runway, but you can in this pic.

The reason why I want the weather to clear up is I want/need to go shopping tonight. My grandfather's 75th Birthday Party is on Saturday, and like a normal girl I think I need something new or at least a part of my outfit needs to be new. Plus I haven't been shopping in a while. Its also a perfect time to grab my best friend and hit the road for a little trip. The closest mall is about 25 minutes south of us. So after work, weather depending I'm heading up to go shopping.

Then I have to come home and pack for the weekend. Tomorrow night my boyfriend, my sister, her boyfriend and I are heading down 3 hrs south of here for the family event on Saturday. The rest of my family leaves tonight. The dogs even get to go away this weekend but not with us. Ty is going to my mom's friends house. And Bailey is going to my mom's bosses house who also has one of Ty's puppies from the first litter, Dash. Bailey is from the second litter. I don't think they have ever met so we are trying it out tonight and if it doesn't work then I have to pick up Bailey and take him with me for the weekend. I hope it works!

As of know I'm going shopping, just checking weather network. But who knows what could happen in 2.5 hrs with the weather up here in the snowy north.

Bye for now.

Think he needed a haircut?

Its that time again...Bailey goes to the Groomers. He was looking a little ratty lately, and it not that I don't brush him he just has so much hair, which I love so I don't mind brushing it.
This is a before picture of him with some crazy hair.
This is him after a day at the groomers (below)
His groomer is so nice too, and not expensive like the groomer at my vet's office, which I want to switch vet's also. It going to cost almost $500 to get Bailey nutured!!! Why?? cuz he has a small very small like a 1 out of 10 heart murmer and they have to do a pre EKG on him. Sent the results down to a place in New York and then they tell the vet to go ahead with the procedure or not. But he's my baby. I'm going to put it off for a bit, its not like he needs it right now or anything. But hopefully by the summer I'll get it done.
Its been a while again....but when you have two little ones running around (well they don't run but they keep you busy) that usually arn't there things are different. The past week we had my Aunt Shash's two youngest boys visiting while they were away at a conference. They were very well behaved boys and a joy to have at the house. Mr.Silly (as Shash calls him) the 4 years old kept us laughing.
One time it went like this:
My sister Mel was up visiting for the weekend was at the computer at the kitchen table. I was doing dishes. Mr. Silly was suppost to be sitting at the table eating his lunch. And the youngest one J was already finished his lunch and playing in the living room.
Then a few moments later Mr. Silly is on the floor playing with the water bottle on the floor and J has come in and dumped Mr. Silly's lunch which was homemade turkey soup on the floor. All within a minute. So well Mel got J out of the way I asked Mr. Silly to stand aside so that Mel and I could clean it up.
Well he thought I meant go to your room (the one he was staying in). So Mel and I get everything cleaned up and I go to find Mr. Silly who I found on his bed with his arms crossed.
I said: What are you doing in your room?
Mr. Silly: I didn't like what you said to me.
Me: What did I say that made you upset?
Mr. Silly: You told me to go to my room.
Me: oh I didn't want you to go to your room I just wanted you to stand aside.
So I took him back upstairs and showed him why we asked him to stand aside cuz we had to clean up the mess and didn't want him to get anything on his socks or pants.
Me: I just wanted you to stand over there (as I pointed to the other side of the kitchen, also where the stove happens to be)
Mr.Silly: Well where did you want me to stand? on top of the stove and burn myself?
Me: So sweety just over to the side so that you wouldn't get dirty.
My sister and I were laughing about the stove part. I would never even think about that. I kinda felt bad after that he would think that but it was too funny at the time. But his tone of voice and gestures while saying it were funny.
Another time was this past Sunday. My mom was working so it was just Mel, the two boys, and Me that went to church. We were all sitting while they were getting everyone with a birthday/anniversary in February to stand at the front. Our church is kinda older school (getting better) so things are more queit at times.
We then all procedded to sing Happy Birthday (there were no anniversaries).
Happy Birthday to you...this is when Mr. Silly goes Cha cha cha
Happy Birthday to you....Mr Silly again goes Cha cha cha
Happy Birthday to everyone
Happy Birthday to you....Mr. Silly CHA CHA CHA!!
My sis and I were laughing and the lady behind us (which we know really well) was laughing too. It was sooo cute.
Both boys were fun to have around, we went to hockey games (my bro plays), grocery shopping, and swimming.
Here is a pic of the two of them in the bath with Mr. Silly and Me as the hairdressers.
Have a good night...I'm off to see Cory. We are going to East Side Mario's for dinner too (it was our 3 month on Monday and he was on midnight shifts so we ate in)..YUM..Its my fav.

Its been a while...

Well Its been a long time since I have last blogged. The holidays were busy but well spent with family. I'll start where I left off....

Both Christmas Parties were fun. My work one went well even though I had a cold, we all had fun, especially when we got out the pictionary cards to play chardes with the whiteboard. We did guys against girls, in which unfortunately the guys won, but the girls were very close. Who'd think pilots and paramedics could outsmart theirs wives and girlfriends...lol..we were joking that they had been practicing their drawing skills while waiting during flights. The murder mystery dinner party was good too. Lots of fun and the food was great!!
This is my family just before Christmas, including the two dogs.

Christmas Eve was spent with family, friends and my boyfriend. We had our usual opening of the pj's that night and had a great dinner. Then Christmas day we headed down to visit family.
Aunt Shash made an awesome dinner!!, then my family spent the night there and headed back Boxing Day night after we did some Boxing Day shopping of course.

This is Cory and I the night that we did Family pictures just before Christmas.

The 30th of Dec we headed down for lunch (3 hrs away) with my dad's side of the family in which I got to see all my cousins and have a great time. Also got to see my cousin's engagement ring! Its gorgeous, and get this she's getting married 07/07/2007. Neat date eh?

From there to celebrate New Years my family and some close friends of my parents (who is my boss also) along with their two kids (Geremy aged gr.6 and Tristan, 18) headed down to Niagara Falls. We stayed there for two nights, celebrating New Years and my Dad's 45th Birthday on Dec .31. We had a blast, even though it rained on New Years Eve. New Years Day my brother and I as well as Tristan headed home in my car while my mom, dad, and two sisters went to go visit my aunt down in West Virginia. This picture is my dad wearing the moose hat when you go to Montana's Restaurant and its your birthday. It was so much fun. I love this pic.

Oh I forgot to mention just before the holidays I got a call from a position that I had applied to at the beginning on September back when I was looking for a job. It was at the District of Muskoka where I had worked before as a coop student in Grade 12 and then again my first summer in college as office support in one of the departments. The position that I had applied for was for switchboard/front reception. They had given it to un inside employee as they have to first as they are unionized and stuff. So they called me asking if I was still interesting. It would be the first week of January and then a few days a week after that for a few weeks. So I told them I would talk to my current boss and see what she says, as she had said that if anything comes up with the District then take it as it can be hard to get in with the government sometimes and I should take it. It was kinda slow at the office anyways at that point as we weren't getting too many flights. So I took the position and had one training day on Dec 22, before the holidays. I then started on Jan 2nd-5th full days, then have been working Tues and Thurs every week till Feb 1st. Its keeping me busy at the airport only being there 3 days a week.

I've also had a 2 month anniversary at the beginning of Jan with my boyfriend in which he completly surprised me every minute of the night. He picked me up on a Friday night an hour or so after I was done work in which he brought me flowers. They were Gerber Daisies in which are one of my fav flowers. There were three flowers with the fern stuff to make them pretty. There was one pink one (my fav colour), one yellow (his fav colour), and one that looked like the two colours were put together as there was some pink and some yellow on it. It was so cute. Then he took me to his car and there was a photo album sitting on my seat so I was like what's this. And he said it was mine. I opened it and he in it said "Meghan and Cory's first photo album"..as well our saying "One day at a time.." was written on the inside cover. Then he had printed out a ton of photo's, some of him, some of me, and some of the both of us. I've known him for a few years so one was last year when I was in the same wedding he was the best man for, I was walking down the aisle in my bridesmaid dress and he had that pic in it. He also put little blurbs beside each picture. It was amazing and in a sweet photo album that matches my room decor too!! I love the photo album. He then took me 25 minutes away to dinner at Montana's. We then planned on going to a movie but the movie was playing really late and he had to work really early the next morning so we post-poned our date till a later date. We ended up going to the movie on the Monday following. I say we had a 4 day date...as we didn't go to the end of the date movie till Monday a few days later.

Also my sister Mel turned 19 last week and got a kitty in which she called him Honey Buns. He's really soft and orange and white. However I don't get to see him that much as she lives an hour away from my house while she goes to college. Bailey got 3 shots 2 weeks ago for his vaccinations and has to get another one for his booster next Saturday. As well he can get nutured anytime after his last shot.

Well hope everyone has a good weekend! I'll try not to make it too long before I blog again.

Weekend of Parties

I have two Christmas Parties this weekend and go figure I'm sick with a cold. But I'm still going to both of them.
Tonight is my work Christmas Party in which I have been helping plan and organize since the end of October when I started working at NAS (the air ambulance company).
Thursday I went and got the supplies that I need to decorate the wine cups. Then I went back to the office decorated three glasses different ways so that my boss could pick which she liked.

Yesterday was full of shopping for all the supplies while still trying to run the office with the office phone forwarded to my cell phone (we always have to have someone with the phone as we flight follow our planes, so whenever we leave the office we forward the phone to our cell phone. Its nice cause then you can leave the office and do an errand without missing a call). After getting all the supplies we needed we went over to the place where the party is being held. We set up as much as possible as we didn't bring the tablecloths from the office. We then realized we forgot somethings so back to the dollar store to get more platters then back to the venue we went. We got back to my place at 6:20pm!...Where my bosses daughter picked her up there as she took her car all day so we used mine.

After getting home I ate what dinner I could eat as my throat hurts and my nose is running then started decorating the rest of the wine glasses I didn't get done. I put on all the bows and let them dry, did some laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and then my lovely bf came over to visit for a bit. I hadn't sat down on the coach till he came when he told me to sit down and rest.

Here is a pic of the glasses. The one of the left is the ladies glasses as they have a start charm on the bottom of the glass if you were wondering what the gold thing is. Then the one on the right is the mens glasses. Heather is my bosses name and those are our place cards for the tables.

Here is a better pic of the charm on the bottom. I had to twist the wire together around the glass. Some of them worked with me in bending properly some didn't, but in the end they all turned out good.

So today I'm off to try and get some Christmas Shopping done. Plus I need to get stuff ready for games for the Christmas Party, and get Christmas Music together as well as try and take a nap before night.

Then tomorrow night I have another Christmas Party. Its a murder mystery party at my friend Mel.S.'s house. My character's name is Dorothy May Bradford (which is kinda cool as my grandmother who recently passed away a year ago's name is Dorothy). I have to wear a bright coloured dress and it has to be eccentric. Any ideas for me??? I have no idea hopefully will find something today while shopping as its tomorrow!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Bailey's First Groomer Appt.

Tonight was the first time that I took Bailey to the groomers. I though it would be nice for him to be all pretty before Christmas. I took him for 5pm as the groomer didn't want any other dogs there as this was his first time. We take our dogs to a private groomer, where she runs the business out of her home. She does tons of dogs in the area and does it good and at a good price too.

It took her two hours to complete him head to toe and butt and to finish she gave him a little bandana that attaches to his collar. He is soooo soft, and cuddly. It felt like dropping a child off at daycare when I dropped him off at the groomers. He gave me tons of kisses and when I handed him over he was gave me the look like..'Mommy, where are you going?'. But I think he had fun...at least hes clean now.

This is Ty (my moms dog on the left), and Bailey on the right. They are so similar in size and features. Bailey will be 4 in May, and Bailey is 4 months old.

Media Release

Just out in our weekend paper is a photo of my bf and the other Auxiliary Police men. He has been working hard on organizing an event called 'Stuff A Cruiser'. What they do is set up a police cruiser at two local Zellers one in my town then another 20 minutes away in which people from the community can purchase or bring in new and unwrapped toys to stuff the cruiser. The gifts are then taken to the Salvation Army to distribute to local children that wouldn't get any toys for Christmas without the communities help.

Shown in the picture from the left is a guy, then Cory (my bf), then another guy all from the Ontario Provincial Police Auxiliary program. The event hasn't happened as this was a photo shoot in order to catch the attention of the community.

The event is December 9th and I wish you all the luck on your event Cory!!....
You have worked hard and taken time from your days off in order to help the local communities.

Here is a picture of Cory and I... (without his police fur hat on).

Back from House/Dog/Horse Sitting

I'm back to my internet and blog reading days...
Well it was a fun 1 1/2 weeks while House/Dog/Horse sitting. I cooked my own meals (and yes I actually cooked real meals), I only had one take out meal on a night that I was running late after getting a new cell phone and then had a book party to go to. I had fun, it was kinda like having my own house. However, it was too quiet at times for me. I like people and noise. Last night the satellite went out at the house and there was nothing else to do so I came home and hung out with my mom.

The dog is a good dog which was good as I don't think I could have even pulled it on a leash or by its collar all by myself if he had gotten into trouble.

Here is a picture of the dog 'Slate'.....

Now here is a pic of him standing up....

He loves his ears to be scratched and always pushes his head against your arms and chest to try and get you to scratch them.

So I'm back home, trying to unpack my mega load of clothes, as well as try and organize my room as while I was gone my mom moved all my stuff from my old room into my new room, and so everything is everywhere, and I hate a cluttered and messy room.

Have a good weekend everyone!
