Confession

So its been a little while since I have last posted. Last week I started working 11:30-8 shifts so I get up (try and go to the gym), get ready for work then go to work, get home, eat dinner, and go to bed. So during the weekends I relax and tan by the pool, while at night hang out with friends.

I have a confession about blogging though...I always wondered why I couldn't get a title for my posts and all my post titles ran on and on on the sidebar. I always thought that it was something to do with the HTML codes and stuff (don't know much about them). So today I researched and can you imagine that, it was just a little setting in the formatting that I had to change to YES instead of NO for a title bar!!...AWWW! I can't believe I didn't figure that out. Oh well, so I have changed all my past blogs to have a title now and not a run on title.

This weekend is going to be busy, I'll have lots to blog about next week. Friday night is a graduation ceremony for some friends, Saturday is the fireworks in town, Sunday is WONDERLAND!!! YAH... Can't wait. Going to be so much fun!..

Well I'll talk soon, have to get ready for work soon.

Happy Father's Day!

Well today is Father's Day. I started celebrating the day by getting up at 6am!!!! Wow, that is a big loss of sleep when you usually get up at 8am or later. But it was for a good cause, I was going to be a cheerleader today.

My dad has been doing duathalons (run, bike, run) for the past 2 years, going into his 3rd year. He enjoys them and I enjoy going to cheer him on, GO DAD GO! Usually I have a sidekick (my younger sis) but she was also away competing in a horse show (in picture with horse). She jumps competitively with her horse Firefly S.S. aka Flicka. So I was solo, with my mom taking pictures and my brother being a teenage boy (sit there and sleep) I took the full role of cheerleader. I guess that all the hard work that dad did paid off, (and of course all my good cheering), as dad got a 1st in his age/weight category!!!!! He beat the guy that usually gets in front of him.

My dad has been given many gifts to which we are proud of him for. He is a father, business owner, volunteer firefighter, duathalete, and encourager for his children. He was brought up with good morals and I respect him so much for all the lessons his has been able to teach me. When my car wont start and I have a 8:30am college class and he lives 3 hrs away from me, I can call him up and ask him how to start it. If the guy at the oil changing place is trying to jip me into buying something I don't need...he is there to call and ask for advise. I don't think that I could have asked for a better Dad! For that thank you Dad for all you have done! I couldn't of spent today doing anything else than what my dad loves and enjoys to do. CONGRATS on 1st!

P.S. I'm doing this in red as its my Dad's favourite colour!

Graduation

Well its official..I've finally graduated from college with a diploma. During the past two years I have been working at getting a diploma in Executive Office Administration. So on June 14th I graduated with Distinction in Executive Office Administration at Conestoga College, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. I know live 3 hours north of the college and so my dad, mom and I went down to Kitchener just for the graduation (and a little shopping before).
In one picture its me getting my sash and shaking the Dean of the School of Businesses hand. The other photo is me after being on stage with my diploma in my hand. I just wanted to go sit but daddy wanted a photo first on the way back to my seat.

So after a few hours of sitting and listening it was finally over. It only lasted about 2 hrs which was nice, although we had to be there 1 hour before, so it seemed like I was there for 3 hours.

So two years of college and I'm working for a resort up in the Muskoka area. I love my job, I'm just not too excited about the driving that is involved before I get to the resort. I leave 45-50 minutes before my shift starts hoping that I don't get stopped for speeding as it sooo boring on that highway that you just want to get off of it. It is a summer job, as I don't know what life will bring in September. I have never really worked in September as I have always been going back to school after the summer. I guess this year is different. No more textbooks, studying, quizzes or midterms, finals, reports or presentations.

However, this is not the end of my schooling. I know that there is going to be more to my career. But for know I have all the skills needed in order to accomplish a greater career. I'll be back soon! Hopefully I won't be gone as long as the last blog!

Meggles

So you may ask why is my display name "Meggles". It all started a long time ago when my friend moved in with my family. We decided that it would be fun to give each other a nickname. So after much discussion and trying of different names I was given the name "Meggles". Her herself was given the name "Louisianna". She is more than a friend she is like an older sister to me, someone there for guidance and comfort when I need it most. When signing off in e-mails while we were both away at college, we would always use our names. With that, I have chosen my display name as "Meggles".

First Post

Well I've finally signed myself up for the blogging life. Since I now have found some time besides reading college textbooks, or writing that final essay, I need a new commitment. I was a college students for 2 years in which I will be graduating with Distinction on June 14th with a diploma in Executive Office Administration. Even though I've gratuated from college I know that this will not be the end of my studies. We learn something new everyday, and we are never too old to learn something new. So here is to blogging!
