Weekend of Parties

I have two Christmas Parties this weekend and go figure I'm sick with a cold. But I'm still going to both of them.
Tonight is my work Christmas Party in which I have been helping plan and organize since the end of October when I started working at NAS (the air ambulance company).
Thursday I went and got the supplies that I need to decorate the wine cups. Then I went back to the office decorated three glasses different ways so that my boss could pick which she liked.

Yesterday was full of shopping for all the supplies while still trying to run the office with the office phone forwarded to my cell phone (we always have to have someone with the phone as we flight follow our planes, so whenever we leave the office we forward the phone to our cell phone. Its nice cause then you can leave the office and do an errand without missing a call). After getting all the supplies we needed we went over to the place where the party is being held. We set up as much as possible as we didn't bring the tablecloths from the office. We then realized we forgot somethings so back to the dollar store to get more platters then back to the venue we went. We got back to my place at 6:20pm!...Where my bosses daughter picked her up there as she took her car all day so we used mine.

After getting home I ate what dinner I could eat as my throat hurts and my nose is running then started decorating the rest of the wine glasses I didn't get done. I put on all the bows and let them dry, did some laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and then my lovely bf came over to visit for a bit. I hadn't sat down on the coach till he came when he told me to sit down and rest.

Here is a pic of the glasses. The one of the left is the ladies glasses as they have a start charm on the bottom of the glass if you were wondering what the gold thing is. Then the one on the right is the mens glasses. Heather is my bosses name and those are our place cards for the tables.

Here is a better pic of the charm on the bottom. I had to twist the wire together around the glass. Some of them worked with me in bending properly some didn't, but in the end they all turned out good.

So today I'm off to try and get some Christmas Shopping done. Plus I need to get stuff ready for games for the Christmas Party, and get Christmas Music together as well as try and take a nap before night.

Then tomorrow night I have another Christmas Party. Its a murder mystery party at my friend Mel.S.'s house. My character's name is Dorothy May Bradford (which is kinda cool as my grandmother who recently passed away a year ago's name is Dorothy). I have to wear a bright coloured dress and it has to be eccentric. Any ideas for me??? I have no idea hopefully will find something today while shopping as its tomorrow!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Bailey's First Groomer Appt.

Tonight was the first time that I took Bailey to the groomers. I though it would be nice for him to be all pretty before Christmas. I took him for 5pm as the groomer didn't want any other dogs there as this was his first time. We take our dogs to a private groomer, where she runs the business out of her home. She does tons of dogs in the area and does it good and at a good price too.

It took her two hours to complete him head to toe and butt and to finish she gave him a little bandana that attaches to his collar. He is soooo soft, and cuddly. It felt like dropping a child off at daycare when I dropped him off at the groomers. He gave me tons of kisses and when I handed him over he was gave me the look like..'Mommy, where are you going?'. But I think he had fun...at least hes clean now.

This is Ty (my moms dog on the left), and Bailey on the right. They are so similar in size and features. Bailey will be 4 in May, and Bailey is 4 months old.

Media Release

Just out in our weekend paper is a photo of my bf and the other Auxiliary Police men. He has been working hard on organizing an event called 'Stuff A Cruiser'. What they do is set up a police cruiser at two local Zellers one in my town then another 20 minutes away in which people from the community can purchase or bring in new and unwrapped toys to stuff the cruiser. The gifts are then taken to the Salvation Army to distribute to local children that wouldn't get any toys for Christmas without the communities help.

Shown in the picture from the left is a guy, then Cory (my bf), then another guy all from the Ontario Provincial Police Auxiliary program. The event hasn't happened as this was a photo shoot in order to catch the attention of the community.

The event is December 9th and I wish you all the luck on your event Cory!!....
You have worked hard and taken time from your days off in order to help the local communities.

Here is a picture of Cory and I... (without his police fur hat on).

Back from House/Dog/Horse Sitting

I'm back to my internet and blog reading days...
Well it was a fun 1 1/2 weeks while House/Dog/Horse sitting. I cooked my own meals (and yes I actually cooked real meals), I only had one take out meal on a night that I was running late after getting a new cell phone and then had a book party to go to. I had fun, it was kinda like having my own house. However, it was too quiet at times for me. I like people and noise. Last night the satellite went out at the house and there was nothing else to do so I came home and hung out with my mom.

The dog is a good dog which was good as I don't think I could have even pulled it on a leash or by its collar all by myself if he had gotten into trouble.

Here is a picture of the dog 'Slate'.....

Now here is a pic of him standing up....

He loves his ears to be scratched and always pushes his head against your arms and chest to try and get you to scratch them.

So I'm back home, trying to unpack my mega load of clothes, as well as try and organize my room as while I was gone my mom moved all my stuff from my old room into my new room, and so everything is everywhere, and I hate a cluttered and messy room.

Have a good weekend everyone!
