My Nieces and Nephew!

I finally went to go see my precious little neices and nephews. BTW, they are puppies. They were born on July, 30, 2006. There was 2 girls and a little boy.

This is Oreo (the mommy, my sister-in-law, my dogs wife). The beige puppie is the little boy. He has been nicknamed 'Floyd', or 'Pink Floyd'. As when he was born he had no fur to cover his little pink body. The other two are the girly girls. They are like twins, when you look at their faces. The only marking that is different is the spot on the back on the one puppy.

The girls have been sold, and only 'floyd' is left still needing a home. I'm trying to convince my dad that all he needs to get me for my next birthday (in October) is this little puppy. He didn't say anything after. I showed him the picture and he said cute, then I told him this is what I wanted and he didnt say anything too bad. He just said we dont need another dog. However, technically its not him, its me, and I live in the basement, I could block my room and the downstairs hallway area for my puppy. Plus Im sure my mom would help me when I was at work, as 'floyd' would be able to play with his father (my family dog 'Ty').

Hey they are again..all sleeping so quietly. Just wait till they are older. They wont be quiet anymore. "Floyd" lets out a little woof now and again V told us. V is Oreo's owner.

This is little 'Floyd' from the front..isn't he precious!!! I love him to death. He was cuddled up in my neck for most of our visit the other day. He even licked my nose. It was cute seeing the puppies trying to walk. They arn't that old so they still can't walk. One of the little girls we put her on the ceramic flooring and she did the splits. Well I should get going...Have a good weekend ya'all.. I'm working Saturday, and have Sunday and Monday off!! YAH...going to see my sisters horse show on Sunday, and relaxin on Monday!!

Another way for Smores

After being in the grocery store with a girlfriend, waiting in the nice long lineups when you come to Country Country in the summer, we saw a new way to make smores. We have just recently found a new way of using the family digestive chocolate cookies for smores. Now we introduce peanut butter cups with the digestive chocolate cookies and the marshmellow.

So Louisianna, MelS and decide to go camping on Saturday night as part of MelS's birthday (which is today, HAPPY BDAY MELS). I decide to just visit and stay in my nice bed, since I have to work the next morning. I said I would bring the smore stuff. So we try the marshmellow, digestive chocolate cookie, and the reese's peanut butter cup. OH MAN..it was sooo good. That is my new fav treat!....and what do we use to roast the marshmellow?? ......

The Wiener Roastie 3000. MelS named the fork as it has many jobs: roasting marshmellows, poker for the wood, extenable stick, and an extenable bear scarer or anything else that might have decided to pop out of the woods (yes we practiced using the stick to fight off muskoka bears..LOL). Our night was so much fun!. Lots of marshmellows, hotdogs, and smores, and popcorn. We even managed to keep the fire going and start it on the first try. We rule girls!

Well I'm off to continue watching my Laguna Beach Season 1 DVD's.

BTW..my mom has a blog now...its www.cheerleadermamma.blogspot.com .... she hasn't posted anything yet, as she was away all weekend, but I'm pretty sure there will be something soon. They get back tonight soon, from being away all weekend.

Happy Anniversary!

It was my parents 22nd Anniversary yesterday, Friday, August 11, 2006. They have been gone since Thursday night, with my youngest sibling travelling down to Indianapolis. This weekend is a big and exciting weekend as they have gone down to go to the speedway for my dad to do a lap with Lance Armstrong (the winner of the Tour de France for 7 years). With all the responsibilities of being the oldest at the house right now, I didnt have time to write about them yesterday like I had planned.

This picture is of my lovely parents. They were married on Saturday, August 11, 1984. My mom was 20 years old, my dad was 22 years old. They met when they were still in highschool at a roller skating rink during a youth event that the local church attended. My mom's friend Teresa, and my dad's friend Kevin were dating at the time, as the girls were going over to meet the guys, my dad fell right in front of my mom. We say that he fell for her!....He says that Kevin tripped him. You know guys!...After that they were in love, my dad proposed just before my moms graduation. Of course, Kevin was the Best Man at the wedding, and Teresa was the Maid of Honour.

Then 2 years later then had me in October of 1986. Melissa my sister in January of 1988. Monica my sister in July 1989. And Joshua in November of 1990.

After moving 8 times, 7 dogs, 2 cats, 3 birds, 100+ fish, 1 horse, 6+ hamsters, 2 mice, a few cars, a few vans, many road/camping/amusement park trips, the rough and happy times, they are the best parents someone could ask for. They are loving and kind, people you can count on when you are having a bad day. That you know when you get home, they will be there to support you and guide in the best direction (even though sometimes you don't think they have the best idea, but really they know, they have been through those times also).

Thank-you for being the best parents you could be. Being good parents results in having good parents. I hope that someday I will be able to tell my children how special you both are to me and be able to be a great parent just like the both of you.

Happy Anniversay! Hope you both are having a great trip! Ride hard Daddy!

Finished, Fini!

Well I've finally finished the book that I have been reading for the past few weeks. It was a great book to keep me occupied while at work during the down times, or while at home sitting by the pool trying to tan but can't sit there just laying so I could read instead. If you have not read the Shopaholic series or started you should. Everyone that I have talked to them about this series has said that they love the series. There is two people here in my office that have read the whole series, and my aunt and cousin have read them also and them all the books.
The first one is 'Confessions of a Shopaholic', by Sophie Kinsella. Its about a young women who is majorly in debt with credit cards (thats plural, more than one card). She keeps throwing out the letters that the banks are sending her. And what does she do? Like career wise?.....She's a financial journalist. Whenever she gets another bill she throws it into her drawer, then to make herself feel better she goes and buys something, and charges it to the almighy plastic. When all that has gone wrong has gone wrong, something good happens. A new start? A boyfriend to keep her spending in line? A move? An upgrade to her current job? A television appearance? I know...do you??
So I'm off to go start the next book in the series, 'Shopaholic takes Manhattan'. (of course once I'm finished work I will start it, as I forgot to bring it to work today). I wonder what will happen next?!
